The Hayley Oliver Band

The Hayley Oliver Band

Hello, thanks for stopping by The Hayley Oliver Band website, lets start by giving you a little background on the band.

Over the past few years Hayley has regularly performed with various Artists and Bands. A chance meeting with Lee Ellis at Buds Country Music Store 5 years ago lead to the idea of Hayley forming her own band.

After many years of trying to bring this idea to fruition and overcoming the busy schedules of both Hayley and Lee, the band began to take shape.

Naturally by The Hayley Oliver BandLee drafted in two friends from the band Rare Breed which was formed back in the nineties. Compromising of Nigel Nesbitt (he had hair then) and Wayne Lee (still looks the same).

Lee, Nigel and Wayne had the honour of performing with Country Legend Albert Lee and supporting him on various occasions across the country, with Rare Breed.

With bass and Keyboards in place, Lee then looked to another friend Scott Gladman on Acoustic Guitar and the final piece of the puzzle was Julian McLaren (Marianne Faithful/Sean Maguire) on Drums.

They first came together in February 2009 and began to rehearse for their first gig at the Viking Rooms and the 18th April 2009. They were warmly received by the crowd and the decision was to ultimately continue with the live performances and to record their first album "Naturally" with Hayley.

Hayley needed to showcase her talents on the live circuit, and with two albums in the can, the award winning "Two Hearts" and "I Can Still Dream", she needed a way to get the music across to her wide and varied audience. "Naturally" marks the first, of hopefully many, recordings together.

Hayley and the band have many dates booked in for this year, details of which can be found here.
